The Local Area

Brigstock house is situated in the famous seaside resort of Llandudno on the North Wales coast. Known as "The Queen of Resorts", it is the largest in Wales, developed extensively in the mid-Victorian era with much of the local architecture dating from this period.

Llandudno's sweeping promonade is flanked by a expansive golden sandy beach, with ice cream, Punch&Judy shows and even donkey rides in the summer months - with views of the famous pier stretching out into the blue sea.

To the north of the town rises the Great Orme - an enormous limestone headland that has been of great importance to the locals for thousands of years, due to the rich copper veins within. You can journey to the top of the Great Orme ,in your own car, or by cable-car, or even by taking the wonderful victorian tramway that winds its way up from the streets of Llandudno. At the top, visitors are treated to spectacular views in all directions, and a caf'e provides a welcome cup of tea.

A short distance to the south of Llandudno is the renouned Snowdonia National Park. Here you'll find everything the holiday maker could ever wish for, including beautiful little villages and craft shops, dramatic mountains and sweeping vistas, craggy coasts and golden beaches. The beautiful grounds of Bodnant Gardens are only just down the road, with many acres of mature landscaped gardens
